Fire-retardant coating for timber
Why use any old paint when you can apply fire-coating paint that can achieve the necessary fire-rating and protect your investment?
We apply our fire-coating paint to timber joists and floors. We’ll first need to determine the thickness of the joist or floorboard before deciding how many coats will be required to reach the relevant fire-rating (usually 30 or 60 minutes).
One hour’s fire protection can literally be a lifetime.
Fire-retardant paint
Our fire-protection paint offers long-lasting protection for decorative timber surfaces. It meets Fire Regulations standard BS EN Class B s1 d0 and relevant British Standards.
How does it work? When it detects fire, the flame-retardant coat releases a vapour that prevents flames spreading and suppresses toxic gasses. The coat expands to insulate the wood from heat and prevent it burning.
This is a safety product but you can specify finish and colours ranging from a matt or eggshell finish in white or BS, RAL and NCS colours.
