Fire rated partitions
In a fire, you’d want your walls and partitions to offer enough resistance for people to get out and for firefighters to get in and minimise damage to property.
Fire-resistant walls that partition buildings and enclose compartments must provide a barrier to stop fire travelling from one side to the other. In workspaces, Building Regulations require a 30-minute fire-resistance rating.
Partitions must also satisfy certain other criteria: integrity, insulation, and sometimes load-bearing capacity.
Fire-rated partitions
Fire-rated partitions are internal walls offering fire separation in dividing walls. Minimum legal requirements are 30 minutes’ fire-resistance rating. The good news is that our boards offer up to 240 minutes’ resistance.
Our boards come in fast-installation 15-metre constructions with bespoke options for taller systems. They resist moisture, so there’ll be no issue with firefighters’ hoses and sprinklers. And they come with great noise-reduction properties as well.
